36 Square's mission is to revive the heartbeat of Bethany while creating a family oriented atmosphere where local businesses can thrive.

 

The Client

Deep in the heart of Bethany comes a rising town square that will revive the heartbeat of the community. 36 Square arrives with fresh familial centered activities and shopping just in time for the launch of the new library. The creators chose this convenient location for a perfect meet up with locals like you in a highly active district and only a short distance from the Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital and Bethany Colleges. It is located across from Bethany City Hall and adjacent to the new Library in the making.

The solution

Bethany is in the process of going through a revitalization. By combining the 3 & 6 this is representing older generations mixing with the newer ones and this space represents a place where both can co-exist. The rounded edges represent the imperfection of the "square" and making it more inviting to people, the slogan of "U Are Here" emerged after discussing with our client about their vision for this new part of town. The typeface Haus was selected because it represents openness. 

The Objective

Create a brand for a shopping center located in Bethany. The brand needed to follow the mission statement of the company and not deter from potential tenants leasing spaces. 36 Square needed to be attractive to different audiences and legible.
